The Phantom of the Opera

the phantom

Erik must be in his mid thirties, so he is quite Young. He is rather tall and skinny, he is so skinny that his bones can almost be seen. He is balding, he only has hair to the back of the head. His hair short, is straight and hazel. His face is oval, like a skull and extremely white. His eyes are big like two oranges, brown, set wide apart with a frown, he don’t have eyelashes and his eyebrows are thin and browns. His mouth is big, with full lips. His nose is big and turned up. His legs and arms are long and no have ears.

From the beginning of the novel, he seems to be a perverse who lives in the basements of the opera, who demands from the owner of the venue a monthly payment for himself an exclusive box for his personal use even though he was never seen there. This ghost was a shadowy and dark being that very few had seen, which favored him since it turned him into a legend, a myth, those things that everyone takes for granted but does not bother to investigate because they do not want to take risks.
On the other hand, leaving aside the atrocities committed by the ghost we have the mysterious genius of music or angel of music as he was called in the film. This being has instructed the beautiful Christine in singing, gives her private lessons, and helps her improve her skills like no one else could have done. Christine blindly believes that he is the musical genius sent by her father after he died with a mission to take care of her and lead her on the right path.
I Erik the human. Outside of the myth of the ghost and the grace of genius we have a tormented man, angry with life, because of his past, melancholic but above all, above all we have a man in love.
